Fragment / Reassembly is structured around a closed procedure. Printed pages are cut into uniform fragments, mechanically mixed, and repeatedly scanned under identical conditions.
Each scan becomes a source surface. Square samples are extracted using a fixed grid, without selection or hierarchy.
The work removes both authorship and intention from the act of composition, allowing structure and repetition to replace meaning.
